Bp. Juan de Dios Pueblos Returns to the Father

Butuan bade goodbye to its shepherd when Bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos succumbed to an illness on October 21, 2017. He served the Diocese of Butuan for 23 long years. He became its bishop when Msgr. Carmelo DF Morelos was nominated to Zamboanga archdiocese in 1994. Bishop Didi, as he was fondly called by the people close to him, would remain etched in the heart of each one as the bishop who brought the Church nearer to the faithful.
